Apparently Retribution Gospel Choir is the “most physically fit band on Earth.” So says Sub Pop, who release 2, the new RGC album, on March 27th. Who knew Alan Sparhawk was a trail runner and sought-after football coach? Not me, but then I’m no big Low fan. His band mates in Retribution Gospel Choir go mad at basketball, swimming and ultimate Frisbee. All that and they still know how to crank out an upbeat rocker like “The Stone (Revolution!).”
