Monochrome Vision, the Russian label responsible for recent releases by sound artists like Artificial Memory Trace, Simon Whetham, PBK & Zanstones and Rafael Flores, has birthed a sister label. Alone At Last will specialise in limited edition, magnificently packaged CDs (I know, I’m lucky enough to have got some) and the first three are by Francisco López, Richard Francis and Bruce Russell, and Maurizio Bianchi. Unwrapping them is really something – the packaging is hard to describe, but it’s kind of an overlapping series of ever decreasing squares that finally reveals the album inside.
