Although his live performances have still been engaging guitar-drone excursions, Yellow Crystal Star’s Mark Billings has been pushing the boundaries of his meditative minimalism further and further as he continues his journeying. This very brief tape finds him recording, or maybe also playing back, chanted vocals, guitars, and sparse tape collage onto low-quality media, replete with high feedback and plenty of tape hiss. The dissolution of the self continues, exploring its most serene and disturbing corners.
