Kevin Greenspon teams up with long-time buddy Jon Barba (aka Nicole Kidman) for ‘Already Dead’, the lead track from the album of the same name. The LP is the culmination of several years’ work, with Greenspon and Barba only meeting sporadically and being forced to record in a host of oddball locations such as the poolhouse they used to run shows at, an Oakland woodshop and “on a junked-out television set”. The release is out on Kevin’s own Bridgetown Records and is limited to just 550 shiny copies. A further 100 are available in Europe through the newly resurrected Almost Halloween Time label. These ones are particularly exciting for the fact 50 of them feature individually hand drawn covers. I’m buying one and so should you.
