Not sure what to say about JJTTSS, who eludes me, but this tape is compiled from three years of his/her home recordings. It’s also half of the first pair of releases from London’s Rarified label. A cross-section of vintage electro synth-pop tunes, Deerhunter-esque noise rock, synth experiments, and noisy sampled non-sequiturs. Sometimes a faintly Gothic or ghoulish feel, sometimes lighter. Meanders a fair bit, but often interesting sounds.
