Oracle Offering, “Howl’s Angels” tape

Howl’s Angels by Oracle Offering is the brainchild of Dawn Aquarius. This twelve track album follows along the same lines as Aquarius’ other work with Brainshadows; however, the synth driven melodies of Howl’s Angels tend towards the eerie and ethereal. It’s an experimental album where each track introduces a new way of incorporating every day sounds into music. The infusions of sound range from wind chimes to whispery chanting. All these elements put together make a bewitching tune that provides the perfect soundtrack to quiet meditation on the bedroom floor. Every track brings an almost earthy quality that sets it apart from modern music’s electronic beats and high tempo singing. It’s thoughtful music, where every sound and every beat has a specific place in the song. Tagged as Occult, Oracle Offering definitely brings some dark elements into play. In most of the songs, the quiet howl of the voice in the background raises some goose bumps, and the sinister creaking of a chair is enough to make your skin crawl.
