The Tapeworm, the Touch-affiliated cassette label whose past releases have included stellar work by Fennesz, Daniel Menche, Pita and Old Apparatus have announced a brand new ‘by-product’ they’ve called The Wormhole. Joining The Bookworm in the label’s array of non-arthropod invertebrate animal (thanks Wikipedia) loving branches, The Wormhole’s first release will be a double 7” set by drcarlsonalbion, aka Dylan Carlson of Earth. Having already released a tape of spooky (and vaguely comic) spoken word pieces for The Tapeworm, Carlson has joined forces with The Hackney Lass (real name Rosie Knight) to create Modern English Folklore Vol.1: Hackney. The project continues Carlson’s obsession with what he calls “the occult folklore and history of the United Kingdom” and is available as 1500 black vinyl packages and 500 clear vinyl sets.
