Patient Sounds is a cassette label and book press run by Matthew Sage and Tiffanie Collins, based in Colorado. Since 2009, they have released more than 25 tapes, artbooks and digital albums, including their own work as well. Matthew has been incessantly writing and recording music under various monikers while Tiffanie has been curating galleries. As they plan to expand, aiming at pressing two records along with art objects by Alex Runge and Tiffanie (posters, photographs and books too), they have launched a kickstarter campaign to get help. Being a fan of their work, I talked with Matthew about what it’s like self-releasing his art and had him introduce their kickstarter campaign.
