Fissure Mystic’s Lost Album: Unearthed

January 6, 2011
By Crawford Philleo

Fissure Mystic is not a band you’ve heard of. They are, however, a band you need to hear. My buddy Jake Martin over at Speaker Snacks blog did a wonderful thing in uploading a lost album from a band that broke up after spending years writing and performing some of the best post-indie, Sonic Youth/Minutemen/Mission of Burma-twinged psych rock under the radar in Denver without ever putting out an official full-length. Now all I can do is listen and remember… and hope you will too (uhh… at least listen). Stream and download below, and then send me an e-mail with your “signature” as to get a petition going for these dudes to get back in the game. Seriously.
