Justin Marc Lloyd wears a lot of musical hats, but it’s nice to see some of these sounds colliding in the Death Panels cassette. Pregnant Spore is ususally the moniker for the more psychedelic of this noisemaker’s hand, but the slow-burn drone, pretty and soft, turning into a low growl is the kind of dynamic that should bend ears in a positive way.
Slow fuzzy arcs getting bent (and possibly bowed?) into all sorts of balloon animal shapes while the fidelity dips and raises, a static sound that emits from halfway-stations in a car stereo that is only programmed to play the Merzbient box set.
