netpd and some interesting artwork

I haven't tried this out yet, but my friend Mark just made me aware of this website/program. It's called netpd and basically it's an interface of synthesizers etc. that you can play live music on your computer with other people. Where the real excitement comes in is that you have no clue what the others are doing as you're all manipulating the same sounds sources. Anyways the site is here: http://www.netpd.org

Mark's actually looking to set up some live situations with it, so if anyone's interested let him know, his info can be found on his website listed below.

Also Mark himself is doing some very interesting work as part of the Social Media Group. Their work deals with the human interaction between environment and technology. Their latest work, Excavate: Cohabit 2.0 works with sound triggers, embedded under stepping stones and others that work with light and moisture sensor data. Everything is included on the site in a much more detailed and interesting manner. So check it out if you are so inclined.
