Smoke Officially Bottled...

Our man in the West, Ned Raggett, says it went off without a hitch. Congrats to all involved. Sorely disappointed I could not attend this time, but please...do it again. Before the end of all things if possible...

Lots and lots of pix here.

I'd say without a hitch, pretty much! There were the late substitutions and the like, but the pace went well and the performances were stellar, and if anything seriously went wrong, I don't think it was noticed -- so I'd presume nothing did go wrong. ;-)

the only things that went wrong seemed to pertain only to eden and i and our BRUTAL travel days. fuck american airlines. seriously. and i ended up getting really sick sunday, BUT it was so beyond worth it that i don't even have the words. i'll try to post my initial thoughts tomorrow, but all-in-all it was 3 of the best days of my life, tons of new friends were made, tons of old pals finally met in person, and most important tons of great music. we just got back to tulsa, and i miss everyone already... we'll have our pictures up soon-ish, but thanks to everyone who came out and participated... i hope everyone had as good a time as i did.

I second what Brad said: it was an incredible time, so much fun and so worth it! We're just about to go to bed after a long day of traveling but I wanted to thank everyone who came for making it the most beautiful time I've had in a very long time. I'm so glad that so many of us finally got to meet!

The Fest' seems to have been a great moment!
I hope it will be the first performances of long series.

Brad, keep us posted about an eventual next Digifest, to let us time to organize the journey to the pit !

It looks like an all-stars reunion

"that wall of cdrs behind the bands looks killer"
is it all the foxglove releases ??

Mostly Foxglove though I saw some Phantom Limb and, yes, even Ruralfaune made the wall. I definitely saw your Robedoor and Taiga Remains releases up there.

The fest was too amazing for a blogpost comment to summarize. I'm eternally indebted to everyone who came or played or sold or just had a conversation with me over the course of the weekend. I left, elated, inspired, and just as drained of energy and cash as everyone else. Truly the highlight of my '07.

We pulled it off... Every performer gave it their all, and we pulled off a pretty monumental occurence for a (mostly) free event. Bottled Smoke is going to continue in Los Angeles, and hopefully Digitalis Festivals will spring up all over this great war torn world to bring us a little peace.

and yes, there are many many labels represented in the wall of cd-rs.. that is (sadly) my record collection.. good thing i kept all the actual cd-rs to listen to.
