Euro 2008

I know Brad and I aren't the only soccer/football fans here so I thought we needed a post devoted to Euro '08.

We've watched the Dutch (Brad's team) run right over a couple of supposedly-scary teams but I'm still holding my breath that my Swedes can somehow make it all the way into the semifinals.

Who are you supporting? How do you think the teams are doing?

bruno... come down off the ledge man, it'll be okay. domenach will hopefully be fired now and he won't be able to pick malouda and abidal anymore. ;)

i am rooting hard for the dutch, but think it's portugal's year. one can only hope scolari will be too busy thinking about his piles of cash at chelsea and that will somehow derail them.

i kind of want turkey to make a run as well after their last game vs. the czechs. unfuckenbelievable. arda turan to arsenal pls. kthx.

hahaha sweden, i love Larson and Ibrahimovic can be truly great but Sweden as a whole is not worthy of anything with final in it's name

i of course hope the dutch will win this, undefeated. but i'm worried...cos we get a (supposedly) weaker team against us in the quarter finals...i remember denmark in '92

oof, sweden got nailed. russia looked awesome today. the dutch will have their hands full, though i'm confident.

spain v. italy and germany v. portugal in the quarters? good god.

if it's germany v. italy in the finals, someone is going to have to die. god that would be horrible.

hopefully turkey wins today b/c i don't think croatia is going to be beat germany twice.

turkey may only be able to field 9 men or something, but jesus christ what a finish. after pulling that one out and the one vs. the czechs, i am officially a turkey fan. fuck me.

they didn't really deserve that though, stop being a fan of every team that wins ;))

i just read that out of the 390 minutes they played they were in the lead only 3 minutes. thats sick

haha, well when your real team is never going to play in the euros, you get to root for whoever.. and deserve it or not, it's damn exciting.

speaking of deserving it, hiddink pwns. thank god he didn't decide to goto chelsea. arshavin is amazing.

i'm just assuming it's going to be italy v. germany in the final at this point. it'll be hard to care at that point (sorry jan-arne). ;)

the dutch implode in the quarterfinals... again. spain to follow suit today, thus making all right in the world (and leaving me wanting to punch stuff ;)).

are people making death threats against hiddink in the netherlands now?
