Tennessee Experimental Music Concert Series- Call for Artists

I'm part of a small group that's going to be producing a series of concerts at the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro, TN (about a 30 minute drive from Nashville). The focus is going to be on experimental/outsider music. More specifically we're looking for artists in the Southeast who play or mix styles of drone, abstract, ambient, cut-ups/tape music, free-jazz, and any unclassifiable genre in between or around. We are NOT looking for any type of a rock band or any artist that needs to play at a volume which is painful (not that we don't sometimes appreciate these things, it's just not the right space for it).

This will be a theater-type setting with seating for a little over 100 people. We're still in the planning stages for this, but we have confirmed that our first show will be on Saturday October 25th. We need artists to play and also to give a short talk/discussion about their work (optional but encouraged). This is a great opportunity for innovative sound artists to get out of the living room/garage/attic/ditch/etc... and into a different setting.
If you're interested in being taken into consideration, then send an email to our group at
