Eskie

Very soon, we'll be seeing a minor departure for the typical FD (if there is such a thing) interview: a conversation with Erik "Eskie" Scott. Erik's past is full of interesting engagements, including playing with Flo and Eddie and Alice Cooper.

Recently, he's ventured out on his own and decided to focus on a bass record. While it isn't non-idiomatic, it's a beauty of an interstellar slab. What's more, the man is a great interview--and he uses his pooch Maui for lead vocals on one track.

Maui is also the pilot of his spaceship. Keep on the lookout for this conversation. It provides a peek into what it's been like to play with "big acts," the changes of the music industry over the years and a great look at a professional musician who too often gets derided for being such by us elitist pricks. The guy is a class act, and I can't wait to put up the interview to putty bomb all your pretentious expectations.
