period.tapes: we will spill blood

Passing some info along from my good friends at period.tapes (and yes I do have a very vested interest in this cause, though I don't run the label).

period.tapes is a new label run out of Brooklyn specializing in hand silk screened cassette editions of 46 copies each. These are really sites to behold; every detail of these cassettes are extremely well thought out, and the craftsmanship is impeccable . So if you're a sucker for fine packaging and odd sounds head over to the period.tapes website and pick up their first two releases:

These Feathers Have Plumes

"These Feather Have Plumes have created one of the most memorable and intoxicating drone-based recordings that I have experienced in quite some time. Employing primarily double bass coupled with subtly manipulate and looped field recordings, the compositions drift languidly across the aural spectrum like ghostly tendrils of fog and smoke over a moonlit harbor. Limited Edition of 46 with silk screened sleeve artwork by Louis Caldarola" - Cory E. Card, age 29 (Stone Baby, age 2).

stone baby - nobody loves me... still

"Haunting experimental soundscapes from the creepiest infant ever. Limited Edition of 46 with silk screened sleeve artwork by Louis Caldarola." - Period Tapes.

Forthcoming releases from: Fishdream, Breyer P-Orridge, Whip and the Body, Noveller, Aaron Dilloway, The North Sea and much more!!!
