I had never heard of this trio from Jerusalem before receiving this first in a series of 3" cdrs and I still don?t know much after tracking them on the net. All you really need to know is that the first nearly 15 minute track will put a serious smile on the face of any Les Razilles Denudes-ish psych lover. Plodding and beautifully simple beats and basslines come from the rhythm section which drives metal stakes into the sheets of acid burned floating guitar. Oh yes now I remember finding out that this first track, titled ?Putting On The Riz?, is actually a loose interpretation of the Irving Berlin classic ?Puttin? On The Ritz?. Sounds crazy but you will recognize it in there if you can track down this way gone little guy. Anyway, the second track is an austrolapithacus krautrock jam that is heavy on the drums. Actually the thing that might separate this from much heavy(especially Japanese) psych is the loudness of the drums in the mix.
Luckily you might get to hear what I?m talking about as this recording and two other limited eps were reissued on one cdr somewhere. Start looking for the trail. 7/10 --
