If you?re in the mood for some good dreams tonight, try ingesting this soothing little 3? before heading to the Land of Nod. ?Sleep Chapter? reads like a bedtime story presented in four absolutely lush movements, as Idaho resident Alexander Turnquist coaxes incredibly warm drones from his lone acoustic guitar. The sound consumes all tension, painting the night sky with sheets of somnambulant bliss. Hushed field recordings enhance the nocturnal spirit of the proceedings, barely rising above a whisper.
Fittingly released on Michael Tamburo?s wonderful New American Folk Hero imprint, ?Sleep Chapter? clocks in at just less than twenty minutes. It?s the perfect length for pre-slumber meditation and provides the ideal soundtrack for late night astral projection. 8/10 --
