Heat From A Dead Star are a London-based instrumental band. Nothing too different here. Simple songs built from the foundations laid by late-90?s, early-00?s post-rockers with shoegazey, electronic, and occasionally noisy inclinations. Nicely put together. Well recorded, nicely-produced. If you like hearing music you?ve heard before by a group you?ve never heard of? then this might be your thing. This is a band who plays it safe, so don?t worry? Just lay back, listen, and be satisfied with soothing sounds of mediocrity. There?s nothing notably bad about the music here, just nothing very memorable or interesting either. Looking at their website, it appears this band is already off and running toward big things and this EP will be forgotten most likely anyway. 4/10 --
