I wasn?t really sure what to expect when I popped this one into the player (tone deaf?! Thor?s Rubber Hammer?! Is this some sort of joke?), but was very pleased with what I heard. This 3? cdr begins with what almost sounds like a recording of a jet taking off which eventually fades into some chaotic-harsh-noise-jazz-freak-out; this then fades into a nicely fuzzy, buzzy, clicky segment. The disc continues on a somewhat similar path throughout, blending various forms of extreme jazz/noise/metal in such a way that at times it sounds like three or four different albums being played simultaneously in some parking garage by a group of teenage pranksters, and with great precision I might add. There is quite a bit of dynamic contour on this release as well which only serves to accentuate its extreme weirdness, but it is most certainly dark throughout. I would recommend this highly if you are into Ettrick, earlier Naked City, Grey Daturas, and Satan (the man not the band). I am still not sure who this Nicolas tone feller is, but I can?t wait to hear more. 7/10 --
