Oh boy, another remix album. Exactly what I was looking for. Especially since I haven't heard the original album. Sounds like a good time.

Actually, this one's not so bad. Carl Craig is first up to bat, so that's always a good sign. His mix of "Gary" packs plenty of buzzy synths and new wave flavor into an 8 minute tech-house track. From then on, most of the mixes have the type of wobbly bass and bleepy noises you'd expect to hear on today's hipster dancefloor, without too many surprises (aside from DJ Koze's almost entirely percussion mix, and Modeselektor's foray into dubstep). But it's pretty decent for what it is. 6/10 -- Paul Simpson (6 August, 2008)
