Minimal? Sure is, you betcha. Some simple black and white triangles for artwork, three tracks respectively titled "4", "3" and "5", no album title, recorded in one day last April. A guitar, a dictaphone, an oscillator, a keyboard, a walkman, and some loop pedals. The first track is four minutes of one note playing over a drone of a slightly lower note. The second track slowly builds over its sixteen minutes, from some subtle bursts of noise over a quiet drone, very slowly shifting notes and increasing in volume. The third track follows a similar pattern for twelve minutes.
This release seems like it has the ingredients for something interesting, and the way the pieces slowly build is intriguing, but there isn't that much of a climax to them. I suppose that might not really be the point, but it doesn't really justify the listening experience for me. 5/10 --
