14 years, 9 albums deep Melynda Jackson and Daniel Osborne's Subarachnoid Space delivers 'Eight Bells' a deep journey into the nethers of the universe. 'Eight Bells' five dark, apocalyptic instrumentals might as well be the soundtrack for spacemen on lysergic acid diethylamide. Complete with meteror crashes, Subarachnoid Spaces' hypnotic heavy riffs channel subsonic dark star flashbacks sending the listener into a black hole that will have you wish you strapped a rope around your waist before pressing play! The only thing that could make 'Eight Bells' achieve a 10/10 rating is a better mixing. Several tracks sound severely compressed but don't let that sway you. This album is a no-joke cone melter that will require multiple listens to digest the wreckage! 8/10 --
