Solo women singer complete with guitar, angelic voice and some angsty heart broken lyrics. Its hard not to draw comparisons to Cat Power and Ani DiFranco without being a totally cliche reviewer. The truth is Lisa Jaeggi's debut falls perfectly in a path established by two women who hit the road hard and received a lot of harsh criticism for being the out spoken woman with a damaged background. I don't know Lisa's personal background but hell in this day and age we all have a little to get off our chest. Her guitar playing is quite good, funky but accomplished that would make the average finger picker blush. All being accompanied occasionally by some slanky walking bass lines and box top drums, old school busker style. I don't know I couldn't find a fault with this album other than its not my typical cup of tea. If Lisa was jamming in some coffee house and I happened to walk in I would certainly stick around after my last drop and I hope she continues to create some great albums much like 'Oh Lady You Shot Me'. 8/10 -- Darryl Norsen (3 February, 2010)
