Accompanied by soft contemplative piano, Anna Zweck's vocals are beautiful, perfectly suited to lullabies and folktales. Gently buoyant, breezily swaying, bits of Irish and Australian and somewhere slightly otherworldly. "Motherbird" sticks out as a playful but cautious throwback, organ grinder style. The tracks are not altogether cohesive, fluctuating in style and tempo, but each has interesting points on its own. 6/10 -- April Larson (10 March, 2010)
