Another great album from Kimberly Dawn! Stark, groaning, roiling sonic gratings, all of the harshness of "The Fragile"-era NIN instrumentals without the, well, fragility. The listener is constantly batted about like a cat messing with a mouse. Heavy but not overpowering static, guttural drone with what I swear is the faintest hint of groove. Palpable, unsteady, thickly constructed textures, deeply visceral. Tonal shifts are well executed, from sludging in pitch black oil to bobbing in tingy metallic chords and deep popping swells. A full, complex, distinct sound that reverberates deep in the ears long after fading away. 8/10 --
