I have a friend who loves the Jesus Lizard, and I’m pretty sure she will love this band. I’ve seen their name all over the place, especially in Baltimore, so it seems they’re taking the old ethical approach of hard work over Internet phenom. But really, I don’t see how this could be some buzz fodder, this is gnarly and ugly and awesome. It makes me want to actually play guitar for the first time in forever.

Three people also contributing this much noise should somehow be investigated by some seismologists. Singer Michael Berdan rocks some echo effect on his vocals at times, recalling Alan Vega.
