A 3" CDR of effervescent birdsongs backing gentle acoustic guitar. The authentic settings (abandoned man-made places and overgrown woods if the insert is anything to go by) lend a quiet, natural, harmonious beauty. The crisp crackle of twigs underfoot, the quiet shuffling of preparation, insect chitter-drone as percussion, benevolent voices just out of intelligible distance. The sounds of running water, as if near a stream, and later rainfall, soft patter on a tent roof, perhaps. A subtly recognizable difference is heard between the pitches of day insects and night insects, a very in-the-moment feel. Not much change-up or range, but certainly pleasant. 7/10 --
