Arklight is one of those many artists that are all too often overlooked. Maybe you would disagree and have found that as an artist they do get their proper credit, but I feel like I haven’t really heard too much. That said, I honestly don’t see why they’re not the next Rambutan, Century Plants, Stone Baby, or something. I mean the crusty experimental psych fuzz that is put out might not be groundbreaking, but it definitely would be warmly welcomed as a familiar friend to many of us. I mean, any drone junky could easily get their fix on these 11 tracks, which is quite a full album these days, mind you. “Caution Tape” might seem like a more extreme warning label for the album than necessary for the avid reader of Foxy Digitalis, but the loops and drags of fried electronics, crudely taped vocals, and makeshift noise would surely be a timid assault to the average listener’s ears. Not the top of its class but Arklight can surely run with the big boys. Pretty amazing art in a simple CDr and sleeve old school style. 7/10 --
