I'm a little disappointed. After hearing their self-titled EP, I assumed they were a Godspeed, You Black Emperor!-type band. But they are apparently more of a Broken Social Scene-type band. In fact, this album sounds like an entirely different band from their EP. There are a lot more vocals, and they are closer to a rock band, rather than an orchestra. They still employ a lot of distortion, though, and still create a mood with careful melodies. I think this album would translate better to the stage. Plus, the vocals don't spoil the music, but add to it. They are aware of the fact that music can often say things better than words can, and they let it. Buy the album first. Develop a crush, and feel the crush fade. Only then should you buy the EP; you'll love them all over again. 5/10 --
