I'm not sure who any of the members of this trio are, but I'm glad Audiobot put this out. Packaged in Audiobot's customary excellent packaging, "At Blim" is an organic improvisational set that sucks all the energy from the room and injects it into the proceedings at hand. This is fucking great! Pedal harp, contrabass, and koto are the instruments of choice here. Japanese-infused medidations are constructed and deconstructed over four tracks, clocking in at just under 30 minutes. Heightened awareness of your senses takes place once these pieces reach full-flight. You feel it under your skin and in your hair and bones. As the trio reaches a cathartic feverpitch, you want to scream in tongues. This is a religious experience. It is wholly inspirational. The skill of the musicians and the mix of instrumentation is excellent. This is unlike any other free-form improvisation session I've heard. It's moving and enlightening. Definitely not one to miss. I think I'll press play again. 8/10 --
